All
heater assemblies are attached to 4 feet (120 cm) cable with 2.1/5.5 mm
connector that match TC-12/TC-02A output. Heated surfaces are electrically
non conductive and can be mounted directly to metal surfaces using enclosed
hardware. Ceramic heaters can be used at maximum power without heat
sink (but with sufficient air cooling) and good for temperatures up to
+150oC. TO-XXX heating elements need good contact with
metal heat sink (use of silicone heat sink compound is recommended).
They can be irreversibly heat damaged if used unmounted. It is not
recommended to use them for heating to temperatures above +80oC.

Series Objective Heaters provide a simple and effective method for reducing
thermal gradient between objective and specimen. Designed to work
with TC-12 temperature controller (TC-02
can be used as well). Objective Heater represent collar that attaches to
microscope objective. This collar incorporates a resistor block and
holder for AD592 feedback temperature sensor.
When connected to TC-12 controller, electronic
controls maintain the objective at a constant pre set temperature.
To determine which heater is right for your objective:
1. Measure the length of the objective cilindrical part
were heater to be mounted. For standard heaters it should be 12 mm
or more. If it is less than 12 mm you need custom made heater.
2. Measure the body diameter of the objective near the
lens end.
With these measurements choose the objective heater from
the table below. Custom designs are also available.
