Filter Wheel -- Coarse Positioner kits --
Antivibration Stands

Filter Wheel
This inexpensive, manually operated filter wheel can hold up to 6 optical filters or apertures. Each filter (25 - 25.4 mm diameter, 3-6 mm thick, clear aperture 22 mm) is fixed in the wheel by two M3 screws. 84 mm diameter wheel is supported by 55 mm long arm with two mounting holes: M5 threaded hole for vertical mounting and D=6.5 mm hole for horizontal mounting.  Magnetic lock reliably holds wheel in a selected position and provide smooth operation when wheel is moved to another position.

Part # FW-6-25

Coarse Positioners
When high precision is not required, these inexpensive positioners could be as good as much more expensive ones.  CP-xx positioners, (H and V) are designed for mounting on a 30 mm square pattern Bench Plates. They all have similar 12x15x45 mm moving platform with two D4 and two M3 holes for equipment mounting.  Platform is supported by two 6 mm steel rods of 50 or 100 mm length.  Low Profile Positioner (LPP-80x, "L" in the picture) can be assembled on both metric or standard English (30 mm or 1" =25.4 mm square pattern) bench plates. Central rail has two available M3 holes, separated by 30 mm distance, for mounting of various components.  Side rails have two sets of holes for bench plate mounting: two D6.5 mm holes separated by 1", and three D5 mm holes separated by 30 mm distance. The only difference between "E" and "M" models is the type of mounting hardware included.  All positioners have M5 worm drive that provide 0.8 mm/turn movement.

Antivibration Stands

These compact, inexpensive pneumatic vibration insulation stands were originally designed for our BLM setups. They are also suitable for other light/medium weight devices such as precision balances or bench plate mounted optical systems. In most cases you will need four stands but heavy loads or long platforms may require 6-8.  Stands consist of  air filled corrugated rubber tube, closed at both ends.  Bottom closure has barbed tubing connector and attached filling tube with ball valve. Any source of low pressure gas (air, N, Ar, CO2, etc.) can be used for filling; if none is available you can use a manual syringe pump (Part # SP-1). Top closure has thread for mounting to a bench plate.  This simple design has vibration insulation properties much better than any rubber or other polymer stands often used for the same purpose. (Compared to commonly used “Sorbothane” stands, ours have about 3-5 times lower compression module).  In addition, these stands can be easily converted into much more efficient vibration insulation systems with vibration suppression close to this parameter of a regular air tables. This is achieved by relatively simple modification of the basic model – connection of the air volume in the stand to a large capacity reservoir.  This modification decreases compression module several fold and greatly improves vibration insulation parameters of the stand. VIS-4S systems include four stands, set of flexible  tubing, tube fittings/connectors and four air reservoirs.  Tubing length allows placing reservoirs in a convenient location about 3-4 feet (1m) from stands.  If you already purchased VIS-4 stands you can convert them into "S" model with VKK-1 conversion kit.  Kit includes all mentioned above hardware for four stands and assembling instructions.
