Freeze-Thaw
Cycler
FTC-4 unit is the automated
device for freeze-thaw cycling of lipid suspension in liposome preparation
protocol. In addition it can be used as a table top cooler for convenient
storage of small samples right on a work bench. FTC-4 consist of
two parts: electronic timer/current controller and thermoelectric cooler
connected to the controller by ~1 m (~3.5 feet) cable. Thermoelectric
cooler consist of four well sample chamber (milled from aluminum and coated
by epoxy compound), Peltier heat pump, aluminum heatsink and cooling fan.
While FTC-4 is capable for freeze-thaw cycling
of small samples at normal room temperature, it works faster and with larger
samples in cold room environment +4-6 oC. If cold room
is not available, thermoelectric cooler can be placed inside any
regular refrigerator for improved efficiency.

Picoamp-300B
This amplifier is a modification
of our popular PA-300
model. In standard configuration it is equipped with new HS-2C headstage
(shown on top of the unit) designed for cell electrophysiology. This
head stage has AxonTM
type threaded connector for stable and easy microelectrode mounting, 1
mm diameter gold plated connector for ground electrode and 2-56 screw for
system ground. It is connected to the amplifier with our standard
RJ-45 connector and in principle, is compatible with both PA300B and basic
PA-300 unit. However, "B" model has added Zap circuit which generate
short pulses of membrane breaking voltage and that is quite useful for
converting cell "patch" to "whole cell" configuration. This
make PA-300B
truly universal for both basic cell electrophysiology applications and
for BLM research. Once you decided to get to the basic of cellular
phenomena using artificial lipid bilayers, you only need to replace HS-2C
headstage with HS-2
or HS-2A, no
recalibration required.

Coarse Positioners
When high precision is not required, these inexpensive
positioners could be as good as much more expensive ones. CP-xx positioners,
(H and V) are designed for mounting on a 30 mm square pattern Bench Plates.
They all have similar 12x15x45 mm moving platform with two D4 and two M3
holes for equipment mounting. Platform is supported by two 6 mm steel
rods of 6450 or 100 mm length. Low Profile
Positioner (LPP-80x,
"L" in the picture) can be assembled on both metric or standard English
(30 mm or 1" =25.4 mm square pattern) bench plates. Central rail has two
available M3 holes, separated by 30 mm distance, for mounting of various
components. Side rails have two sets of holes for bench plate mounting:
two D6.5 mm holes separated by 1", and three D5 mm holes separated by 30
mm distance. The only difference between "E" and "M" models is the type
of mounting hardware included. All positioners have M5 worm drive
that provide 0.8 mm/turn movement.

MiniMount
We are introducing new and unique series of mounting
hardware that is specially designed for biophysical or electrophysiological
application. These products are lightweight and compact. The
whole series is build around 6 mm diameter mounting rods and 6 mm thick,
30 mm square pattern bench plates. It can be combined with widely
used British standard of opto-mechanical components and with precision
6 mm based optical bench parts from Spindler & Hoyer. Unlike
the typical optomechanical hardware that have nonconductive black anodized
surface, all our components have bare metal surface that ensure easy electrical
interconnection. Electrical resistance between connected non anodized
aluminum parts is very low. This make our components perfect for
use in systems for sensitive electrical measurements. You do not
have to drill extra holes or scratch all parts in a complex system to have
them electrically connected for proper grounding. We guaranty that when
parts are connected mechanically, they are connected electrically.
If you need black non-reflecting surfaces simply apply black spray enamel
were needed. To view a detailed description of this series click
on this link: Go to MiniMount.
* Due to small volume production and continuos improvement of
our products dimensions and some nonessential parameters may slightly differ
from stated here.
