How to order

• If you need a product from our On-Line Catalog without any modifications, just fax or e-mail your request along with your payment.  All prices are valid as long as you can see them in our catalog but can be changed without notice.
• For custom made electronic devices, either send us a complete circuit diagram or describe in details what kind of device you need.  You will receive our quote on price and delivery terms, in the shortest possible time.

 
Shipping Cost
DOMESTIC:
Beginning 2009 we offer two standard shipping flat rate options for shipments within continental US: A) $15.00 per order for US Priority Mail (USPS), and B) $20 per order for UPS Ground or FedEx Economy. The most essential difference between these options is that packages sent via USPS are delivered without recipient signature and for this reason are hard to trace if they did not reach intended recipient.  While not a single shipment was totally lost during many years, please note that finding package delivered to right address is the recipient responsibility.  Cost of rush shipping (2 day, overnight etc.) is equal to rounded actual shipping cost plus $10 handling fee.
INTERNATIONAL:
Cost of international shipments varies significantly depending on the country and carrier chosen.  We will gladly provide you with price quote.  Country of destination fees, taxes and custom clearance is recipient responsibility.  In most countries research institutions are exempt from these fees and taxes.  However, these exemptions are not always automatic, sometimes it is necessary for the recipient to provide proof of tax status to port of entry custom authorities.  To avoid delays in customs many parcel carriers require to specify which account to be used in case of custom charges.  For this reason it is the best to use recipient FedEx, DHL or other carrier account for all shipping costs.  In this case we only charge $15 per order handling fee. Alternatively we will pay shipping cost but still need either carrier or credit card account number from the recipient for possible country taxes.

Equipment Installation  and Training
We are experts in planar bilayer (BLM) technique, liposome preparation, video and conventional microscopy, mechanics and electronics.  If you need assistance with setting up BLM workstation, or with integration of our products into your own design, or just need on site expert advise on anything close to the above mentioned fields, please contact us and one of our professionals will visit you.  Within US it cost $450 first day and $300 each following day plus cost of the round trip economy ticket.  International inquiries are welcomed too.

Payment Methods.

• Bank Wire Transfer in US dollars ($350 minimum order required)*
• Purchase Orders (Net 30 days from the date of invoice)
• Credit Cards: AmEx, VISA, Master Card.  Currently $500 per order maximum.

Warranty
Eastern Scientific products are covered by 30 days unconditional money back warranty.  However, products must be returned undamaged and carefully packed in the original packaging.  Custom manufactured and third party products can be returned only if found defective.  18 month limited warranty covers all products against any defects or malfunction that may appear during warranty period under the normal use.  In the unlikely event of finding such defects we will replace or repair defective unit at no cost for you (excluding cost of one way shipping).  Prior to shipping product, please contact us to obtain return authorization and mailing address.
